At Play Performance we specialise in all things sports performance. We love to see our athletes become the best version of themselves, and the enjoyment that comes from achieving success, whatever that might look like to them. Our purpose is to help athletes from all levels to achieve this success by providing them with the tools needed to accomplish their goals. Whether it be physical development to maximise performance, injury mitigation to be able to keep playing your sport without having to take time off, education in physical movement, building valuable habits and creating discipline, or mental resilience to cope with the pressures of competition, we can help you to grow as an athlete.
Play Performance is revolutionizing the sporting industry and helping to bridge the gap between amateur and professional sport in a private setting. We provide athletes at all levels an integration of High Performance structures such as athlete screening and performance testing, strength and conditioning, injury rehabilitation and athlete recovery protocols, that they would otherwise only ever have at a professional level (if that). It is through the integration of these systems that our athletes are better equipped for a long and successful career in sport.

The Process - From Consult to Game Ready
Book a strategy call
Chat with one of our expert practitioners about your sport, current performance level, long-term goals, injury history, or current injury status. This conversation allows us to tailor our services to your specific needs and ensure the most effective support. You will then schedule your performance testing or initial injury assessment with us for Step 2.
For our Performance Program, you will come into the facility for sport specific performance testing using our state-of-the-art sport science testing equipment and methodologies trusted by the pro’s. We will measure your strength, speed, power, change of direction, fitness, and everything necessary for you to be the elite athlete you were made to be. This will allow us to identify your strengths, limitations, and areas to improve to maximise performance in your sport whilst mitigating injury risk.
For those coming into the Rehab Program, you will undergo an initial consultation with our sports physiotherapist and undergo an assessment to then formulate a rehabilitation plan to get you back to sport sooner and performing at your best.

The Science Behind Your Performance
At Play Performance, we don’t just guess your progress, we measure it. We utilize the same sports science methodologies used by the pro’s to track your athlete development, optimise your training phases, and guarantee a safe return from injury.
Force-Velocity Profiling: We go beyond the basic strength numbers you might usually see in the gym. By interpreting force-related metrics like Peak Force, Rate of Force Development (RFD) and identifying left-versus-right asymmetries, we pinpoint precise weaknesses before they turn into season-ending injuries.
Objective Return-to-Play Criteria: Transitioning from the treatment table to the field requires data, not just time. We use rigorous baseline and exit criteria testing to ensure a recovering area, like a strained calf or knee, has regained full strength and matches the healthy limbs output before you are cleared for competition.
Year-Round Periodization: Athletic training requires strategic timing, not just haphazard programming. Our testing protocols help you adapt to your sports calendar, allowing us to build raw capacity in the off-season and utilise data for fatigue monitoring during targeted in-season training so you peak exactly when you need to.
Comprehensive Athlete Dashboards: You receive more than just a workout program. We provide visual performance profiling reports and athlete comparison graphs with your onboarding and every 5 weeks, allowing you to track your strength, power, and speed metrics against your own baselines or sporting/age standards.

Athlete Performance Program
The Athlete Performance Program includes semi-private training sessions for athletes looking to improve their performance and build resilience to injury. This is delivered in small groups with a maximum of 4 athletes per elite coach to ensure that you receive all the coaching necessary to carry out your individualised program and achieve your goals. We welcome athletes of all ages, skill levels and sports!
Performance Testing
Sport specific performance testing can be done as a one off walk-in assessment for athletes, or included as part of their semi-private and private sessions. All athletes that come through our doors will run through a full performance profiling before their individualised programs are made. Subsequent testing is then carried out regularly to ensure success of the program and individual goals are met.
Recovery
Play Performance recovery is open to both the public and members. The facility includes a 3 person infrared sauna*, Normatec massage boots and multiple compression attachments*, Cold Plunge Pool*, and Hyperice massage guns. Members receive our Performance Recovery Protocol (PRP) free with signup, as well as unlimited free access to the sauna, massage boots, and cold plunge included in the Athlete Performance Program.

Private Training
Private Training includes one-on-one sessions with an expert strength and conditioning coach for those athletes that need some extra focus during their sessions. Every athlete that signs up for Private Training begins their journey by undertaking performance testing before a unique individualised program is made specific to the athlete, their goals, and pursuit of success.
Team Training
Team Training is carried out in a larger group setting and is designed for team sports or groups of individual athletes from the same club/organisation. This service can include a combination of performance testing and reporting, individualised/group programming, strength and conditioning coaching, and access to recovery protocols unique to the athletes and their sport.
